Non-fic: Heroes
So. The Heroes season premiere.

PETER! Peter, Peter, Peter. I couldn't possibly care less about Nathan, but Peter is back, and that makes me ridiculously happy.

We all know that Hiro is going to end up being Takezo Kensai, right?

Mr. Nakamura will probably stay dead. At one point, George Takei mentioned that he wouldn't be staying with the show for very long, and I'd be surprised if he somehow comes back from the dead in the next episode. There will probably be some cameos here and there for the rest of the series, but I think this is the end for him as a regular character.

Another cause for celebration is that we got through the entire season premiere without a single mention of Nikki. As much as I like Micah and D.L., I'm willing to give them up for the sake of watching at least one episode that's not peppered with Nikki's existential crises.

Claire's new love interest? I was waiting for him to pull out a handheld camcorder and start waxing poetic about plastic bags dancing in the wind. I wonder if this is NBC's way of trying to appease the Claire/Peter ship without losing viewers due to cross-generation incest.

Am I the only one who blinked at the idea of Parker and Mohinder sharing an apartment and raising a little girl together? Okay, so technically Mohinder is in Egypt at the moment, but even so. The slash writes itself here, people.

And in closing: SYLAR!

Loved the season premire ... especially since it was sans Nikki.

How sexy was Peter? All chained, and sweatty, and angsty!

And as far as, "We all know that Hiro is going to end up being Takezo Kensai, right?" ... totally ... it's so Dread Pirate Roberts!

And Kristin Bell from Veronica Mars is now going to be on the show, and I think she's great.

I'm very excited for this season!

Hooray for the Nikki haters! Honestly though, I actually don't know a single person who likes her. Maybe that's why they didn't bother to put her in the season premiere?

Peter was asdfghj hot, except I miss his hair. Yes, I know, he had emo hair, but I liked it. It was-- tuggable.

This season is going to be fantastic, I just know it. After all, they have to make up for the completely horrible finale from last season.

The season finale last season was rather lame, wasn't it?

Tuggable hair is niiiice, but chained to the wall and half-naked does top that. :-D

If only we could see less of Nathan. *sigh* I don't know why, but I really don't like him at all.

I was rather lame, yes. At least NBC apologized for it, though. I think they were trying to rush things, and it sort of culminated in a shoddy finale.

I'm sort of apathetic about Nathan. I mean, I don't hate him, but I don't care what happens to him either, except as it relates to Peter. Peter = definitely the more interesting brother, and not just because he's hot.

They apologised for it? o.o It did feel rather rushed and ... just drizzled off into nothing.

Nathan rubs me the wrong way... just argh, so self-absorbed and the definite politician, brushing off family like they're nothng... Peter is so much more likeable, and cute, and interesting. :-) I actively dislike Nathan, I suppose. *g*

Yeah, they admitted that the finale wasn't very good. While it doesn't change the fact that it was rubbish, at least we know they're aware of it.

Nathan is definitely self-absorbed, as most politicians are. I don't care much for his character, but I really like his actor for being able to portray that so well.

Hiro rocks! And oh yes, he's so going to end up doing all the Takezo Kensai stunts, since he knows what needs to be done too. *g*

I'm a bit sorry to see Mr Nakamura go, but it did make for a good beginning of this plot arc. I'd rather have seen Mama Petrelli go to hell though. I loathe her. *sigh*

I thought the new love interest was cute. I'd totally slash him with ... erm, someone. *g*

I would much rather think about Parker/mohinder slash than the oh so popular Sylar/Mohinder. *shudder* I thnk it's rather cute that they raise the girl together, even though it's just for convenience they live together.

What about the new ppl, the Mexicans? What did you think?

I love Hiro. I make little squealing sounds whenever I see him, much to the amusement/annoyance of the people I watch the show with. I only wish Ando could be there with him, since I think their friendship is possibly one of the most adorable things ever.

I wish it had been Mrs. Petrelli, too. I've never liked her, but my tolerance for her dropped to zero when they told us what she was asking Nathan to do. I was wondering one thing, though. In the season premiere, when she's in Nathan's apartment, she says something like, "If you'd just done what we agreed on, he'd still be alive right now." I'm guessing she's talking about Peter, and my question is, "How?" I mean, wasn't the plan to let Peter explode, destroy NYC, and then for Nathan to put it all back together and eventually become the president? Unless she knew he would survive (which he did).

The new love interest is kind of cute, but also kind of creepy. I think he'd look good with Peter... Handcuffed, mostly naked, and sweaty. Though, maybe not so much on a freight liner in Ireland.

I sort of liked Sylar, but not because I wanted to slash him with anyone. Though, there were a few flashes of him for next week's episode, so maybe he'll be coming back sooner than I thought he would.

I don't know how I feel about Maya and Alejandro just yet. Their entrance wasn't very strong, I didn't think, not the way the others have been. So far, it's hard to be interested in them, because we don't have a good feel for what their characters are like (except that Maya can apparently make people bleed from their eyes, and then cries about it). What do you think?

Hahaha! I thought only I was squeeing loudly when Hiro shows up! *giggles*

That did strike me as odd too. *frowns* Continuity error? Because she was pushing Nathan for just leaving the city and leaving Peter to his fate, then doing the whole politician thingie and rebuild the city. That's how I remember it too. And I can check it since I have the first season on my computer...

I was a little sad when it did look as if Peter was gone dead, so big yay for him showing up at the end. :-) I only fear that we'll see a whole lot of Nathan-angsting in the following episodes though, and I can definitely live without that!

I thought Maya and Alejandro could have potential, but like you said, we have seen so little of them and their story. I suppose she somehow kills ppl accidentally unless the bro is close to her... as if he can cancel out her force/talent. Anyway, rather them than the Nikki family. *g*

Sylar did make for an interesting story arc, but to me it feels really old and worn if they let him escape to be back and continue doing the same thing as last season. Please give us a new plot?
