They gave him a Viking funeral, set barge to sea and watched as the flames danced and died to wind-scattered ashes.
Draco stayed after the others had gone-- others who understood that a father's worth to his son knew nothing of right nor wrong nor death-- until the water seeped into the hem of his robes and the salt stung his eyes.
And he would never say "I love you" to anyone, but he would feel it when he lifted his father's glove and pressed it to his cheek, and remembered his father's voice when he said, "Give me a Viking funeral."
