ships_harry and I were discussing the various gentlemen who have made my brain their home; more specifically, the conversation centered on who would be sharing rooms. My mind is a place of very limited capacity, after all. We wondered what would happen if Draco and Shuichi were forced to room together, and came to one conclusion: nothing good would come of it. There would be tears, millions of tons of hair product, and eventually, much to the annoyance of their housemates, the formation of a lasting and very annoying friendship.

In the wake of that conversation, Scarlet has drawn a surprisingly accurate illustration of what's happening in my brain at any given moment.

Once again, ships_harry has performed legilimency on me and captured exactly the image I had in my mind while I was writing The Art of War:

As I've told her, she included every single detail, from the holes in the knees of Sirius' denims to the grittiness of the bedroom- and look at Severus' ribs! Even the lighting she's used is exactly what I would have done with this scene (if I had any artistic talent at all).

...words just fail me. They just- they just do.

If only you could have seen my reaction. There was the briefest moment of stunned silence before I screamed to rhubarbbuddha "OH MY GOD COME HERE YOU HAVE TO SEE THIS!" Then, there was more stunned silence before I burst into laughter and she whispered, "Oh my god, that's amazing!"

The consensus is that this is the best thing we have seen in weeks. Months, even. That is exactly what both of us had as a mental image when we were discussing it. It's just perfect. Absolutely perfect. Severus' pained-but-resigned expression, the arch of Lucius' eyebrow, and the fact that I can practically hear him saying: "Severus, I require a churro." Also, may I express my undying love to you for putting Lucius in the classic Mad Hatter attire?
