Chapter Summary: To the casual observer, the final weeks of Draco’s fifth year passed in very much the same way as the rest of his time at Hogwarts had, with contemptuous sneers in the corridors laced at the edges with his own brand of unaffected arrogance. In private, however, he felt himself falling apart in the same course his life had so recently taken until he no longer recognized himself in the mirror.
Series Summary: After being blackmailed by Snape for reasons he cryptically refuses to reveal, Draco finds himself taking private lessons in the Dark Arts. The pressure is building for him to choose his side in the upcoming war, and he finds that the decision is no longer as easy to make as it once was.
Author's Note: I don't know if I like this chapter or not. I didn't want to make too much happen here, as it's the first chapter of the second part of the story, but at the same time I'm not sure that there was enough development. Let me know what you think.
